1.

Navigator
Using a drill-down category system, you create a navigational category structure, similar to Yahoo and other portals, where you have a logical order of category and subcategory levels that navigate as a tree. This is quite intuitive to your visitors and quite easy for you to keep organized. Rather than links, as with a traditional search engine, navigator's categories are filled with content ... articles, information, text, pure and simple, html rich and complex, all highly organized. Navigator powered sites can run live, with PHP, or can be statically generated by the engine.

5.

whatsnew.pl
A simple PERL script that will check the modification time of a selection of pages in a site and list the most recently changed sorted on the date of the most recent changes. It does not simply traverse directories finding each and every file but you tell it what files to look for, and what URL's they belong to. Thus you may have one entry for a number of pages, in order not to clutter your list with a lot of individual files all belonging together. The most recently changed file defines the date attached to the entry.
